Learning conversations encompass a range of activities in both workplaces and educational settings such as simulated learning environments: feedback, coaching, and debriefing.

This workshop is envisaged as an introduction to debriefing techniques with specific focus on debriefing simulations. Anyone involved in educational conversations, simulation debriefing and feedback in their professional environment will benefit from this workshop.  

 

Learning outcomes

• Demonstrate strategies to establish a supportive learning environment
• Briefly discuss the rationale for debriefing in simulation-based activities
• Discuss and demonstrate the elements of an effective debriefing, including debriefing structure and specific strategies of inquiry that promote reflection.
