Professor Dara Byrne is the HSE National Clinical Lead for Simulation and the Professor of Simulation at the University of Galway.  She leads the recently established National Simulation Office (NSO) in the Office of the Chief Clinical Officer at the HSE.

She is the Professor of Simulation at the University of Galway and the Director of Simulation at the Irish Centre for Applied Patient Safety and Simulation (ICAPSS), an accredited facility that combines interprofessional simulation based education across the continuum of  health professions education with patient safety research.
