Applications open now -  MD/PhD by Prior Publication 

The School of Postgraduate Studies is delighted to announce that we are now accepting applications for the next intake of the MD and PhD by Prior Publication programmes. These programmes are open to research active RCSI staff (at any of our campuses), RCSI Honorary Appointments, RCSI Trainees, Members or Fellows, and RCSI Alumni. Applications will be accepted until Friday, 16  August 2024 for an October 2024 start.

These programmes offer the opportunity to medical graduates with a record of publications in medicine, surgery, or clinical science to complete an MD or prior published works. Those with a record of publications in biomedical, clinical and health services research can complete a PhD by prior published works. 

This route to an MD or PhD allows scholars who have sufficient research experience at doctoral level, as demonstrated through already published material, to gain academic recognition for their work over a minimum registration period of one year. 

We would like to invite interested applicants who meet the eligibility criteria to apply before Friday, 16  August 2024
