A combination of education theory, lesson planning, interactive peer group exercises, micro-teaching skills practice and reflection will be used to develop the skills of lesson planning, effective teaching, assessment and giving peer feedback.

It is completely voluntary for you to use this, but this logbook has been specifically designed by RCSI to support those who wish to build their surgical careers. Access to the RCSI Logbook will provide an opportunity for those in non-training places to use the same electronic logbook as is being used by trainees in our core and higher surgical training programmes. This free event provides a unique opportunity for Surgical, Perioperative and Emergency Medicine teams and wider interest groups to network and debate many aspects of the surgical and emergency medicine professions.

The RCSI-NSRSC in partnership with the HRB-TMRN and the UK Surgical Trials Units are delighted to host this year's BOASTiC for the first time in Ireland at RCSI Dublin.
