Calling all NCHDs in Ireland - Register today - RCSI Charter Meeting (February 4-8)

Confirm your ticket today for RCSI's Annual Charter Meeting which will take place from February 4-8 at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

The theme of this year’s Charter Meeting is “Next Generation Surgery” which will spotlight how we can better support early career surgeons within an ever-changing surgical environment.

Key highlights include:

  • Sessions dedicated to early career surgeons and NCHDs such as Symposium II which will focus on the RCSI Early Career Surgical Network and the annual Irish Surgical Training Group (ISTG) meeting on Saturday, 8 February 2025.
  • Highly-engaging Symposiums (5) on Thursday 6 February and Friday 7 February which include topics on a shift to Robotic Surgery, supporting early career surgeons, a new era in transparency in healthcare, and more.
  • RCSI’s brand-new Robotic Learning Village which will feature 4 robotic platforms that attendees can get hands-on time with the latest technologies.
  • The 100th Abraham Colles Lecture which will be delivered by Professor Fergal J O’Brien, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation – “From Colles’ Fracture to Gene-Activated Biomaterials: A journey through tissue engineering at RCSI”
  • RCSI’s annual Johnson and Johnson lecture which will be delivered by Dr Carla Pugh FACS, Professor of Surgery, Stanford University, California

This year's Charter Meeting will be of interest to a wide range of prospective attendees such as surgical consultants, surgical trainees, NCHDs and the wider healthcare community. RCSI's annual Charter Meeting is also a great opportunity for NCHDs to network with surgeons and surgical trainees who will also be present at this year's meeting.
