Save the Date – National Training Day | 30 January 2026
 

Cancer Trials Ireland in collaboration with the RCSI NSRSC, IRROG and ISM are hosting a National Training Day on Friday, 30 January 2026 in University Colllege Dublin. Abstract Submissions are now open, and will close on 14 January 2026.

 

This year’s National Training Day brings together professionals from Haematology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Translational Research, and Allied Health to explore emerging research, develop practical skills, and reflect on the “hidden curriculum” that shapes clinical and academic careers. Agenda highlights include mentorship, self-care, career development, and the evolving role of technologies such as AI within cancer trials and clinical practice.

 

Cancer Trials Ireland, ISMO, IRROG and NSRSC are pleased to announce bursary awards for trainees from all disciplines attending the National Training Day in January 2026.
These bursaries are open to Non-Consultant Hospital Doctors with a special interest in oncology. Candidates are invited to submit an abstract (maximum 500 words) describing a: • Case report or case series • Audit • Clinical, basic or translational research project.
