7 February	Principles and practicalities of healthcare systematic reviews 8 places left	Classroom	This course is designed for those who want to perform and/or critically appraise systematic reviews and meta-analyses. It predominantly covers systematic reviews of healthcare interventions, with some material being equally relevant to systematic reviews of other topics. 22 February	Basic Laparoscopy Skills 4 places left	Classroom	This is a hands-on course where you will  get expert formative feedback while  practicing laparoscope handling, object  positioning and tissue manipulation.  You will then progress to performing a  cholecystectomy on a simulated animal  model.	7.5	Register here
23 February	Mental Health Emergencies 6 places left	Classroom	This course introduces a structured approach to acute psychiatric emergencies for patients presenting to hospital in an acute crisis. 23 February 8 March 30 May	Emergency Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Certificate 10 places left	Classroom	This three-day programme is a joint collaboration between the RCSI Continuous Professional Development Support Scheme and the Mater Misericordia University Hospital's POCUS team at The Pillar Centre. 5 March	Advanced Upper GI Emergency Management 6 places left	Classroom	This is an advanced upper gastrointestinal (GI) emergency management course for experienced senior registrars. 6 March 26 March 22 April	Accredited Certificate in Simulation-Based Training in Human Factors in Patient Safety 1place left	Classroom	This three-day certificate provides an introduction to human factors in healthcare. 7 March	Intermediate Endoscopy Polypectomy Workshop 1 place left	Classroom	This endoscopy workshop is designed for registrars already performing gastroscopies and colonoscopies independently. The interactive, case-based discussions will deal with themes such as practical polypectomy, tattooing, endoclip placement, endoscopic mucosal resection and visual footage of difficult real cases.	7.5	Register here
8 March	Social Media for Doctors 6 places left	Interactive learning	As global digital growth shows no sign of slowing the evidence base for the use of social media in healthcare is rising. 12 March	MS Excel – Data Management and Analysis for Doctors 6 places left	Classroom	This course has been developed as a follow-on course to the Excel – An Introduction course, with a specific focus on introducing you to the features of the application that are used to build, manage and analyse lists of data (records).	6	Register here
15 March	Interview Skills and CV Development 5 places left	Classroom	This course will aid you in developing your curriculum vitae so that your previous experience and attributes will stand out. The course also explores the optimum ways you can win over the interview panel at that all-important interview.	6	Register here
21 March	Vascular Surgery Skills for General Surgeons 3 places left	Classroom	This course has been designed to equip the general surgeon with the vascular skills needed for everyday emergency vascular presentations.The principles of haemostasis and products used will be discussed. Mechanical methods of arresting bleeding such as safe clamping, tourniquet application and shunting will be demonstrated.	7.5	Register here

If a course is FULL – it is recommended to apply for the waiting list. Often doctors withdraw from courses closer to the date.

If you would like to book and attend more than your FREE 3 full-day courses allowance, you will be required to pay an enrolment fee for the additional courses. However, this fee can be reimbursed via HSE’s Training Support Scheme. Further details can be found here.
