Providing a spotlight on the next generation of surgeons

The RCSI National Surgical Skills Competition recently took place on Saturday, 16 February 2025 in the National Surgical and Clinical Skills Centre, 26 York Street.

With over 40+ medical students from Surgical Societies across Ireland, it was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm and excitement on the day. The level of quality shown by medical students was outstanding.

Opportunities such as the National Surgical Skills Competition are key to supporting the decision-making process of many medical students considering a career in surgery from an early stage. It’s important that RCSI continue to support medical students who aspire to becomes surgeons one day with tailored surgical experiences.
