It was fantastic to see so many Emergency Medicine NCHD’s take part in the first Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) regional Basics of Airway Management Course which took place on Friday, 6 February 2026.
Led by Dr Jimmy Lee, Lead for Simulation Education UHG/ICAPSS, School of Medicine University of Galway - This focused, one-day course is designed to provide Emergency Medicine Registrars and SHOs with a solid foundation in airway management through a blend of high-yield didactic lectures and practical, hands-on training with mannequins.
