Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration Course

This course will concentrate on Laparoscopic common bile duct exploration as an effective treatment for choledocholithiasis. Both transcystic and transcholedochal laparoscopic common bile duct exploration will be practiced in the Simulation.
This new three-day course provides a practical hands-on overview for clinicians seeking to adapt their skills for managing patients in prehospital environments. It is a skills based practical course delivered over three days in the Royal College of Surgeons by Prehospital Emergency Medicine Physicians with national and international reputations Emergency Medicine, prehospital and retrieval medicine.
This hands-on course where you will get expert formative feedback while practicing laparoscope handling, object positioning and tissue manipulation. You will then progress to performing a cholecystectomy on a simulated animal model.
This one day course is a high fidelity simulation day facilitated by expert non-technical skills educators together with consultant trainers. A number of scenarios are used in the simulated Emergency Department to demonstrate the key principles of crisis resource management (CRM) in addition to the effective use of teamwork and communication, leadership and decision-making skills.

This programme covers instruction in technical skills using a combination of synthetic bench models, animal cadaver tissue and various technical simulators. This course is ideal for both new and basic user of MS PowerPoint. It is designed to bring participants through some of the good practice methods of creating and delivering effective presentations.
If a course is FULL – it is recommended applying for the waiting list. Often doctors withdrawn from courses closer to the date.
