Communication skills and their application to communicating in teams and with patients and families

The ability to communicate effectively is a key component of a doctor's competency and has been shown to be important for patient satisfaction, adherence and a range of patient outcomes. Time-efficient communication skills can be learnt which assist the doctor to achieve these goals within the context of a busy day.
If a course is FULL – it's recommended applying for the waiting list. Often doctors withdraw from courses closer to the date.
If you would like to book and attend more than your FREE 3 full-day courses allowance, you will be required to pay an enrolment fee for the additional courses. However, this fee can be reimbursed via HSE’s Training Support Scheme. Further details can be foundhere.
