CPD Credits uploaded - On Target 1st May 2020 - 30th April 2021

Dear

IMC NO

On reviewing your Professional Competence annual Statement of Participation our records indicate that you have recorded sufficient CPD credits (Total:  25 CPD credits) for the last term 2020 -2021 Professional Competence Scheme.   Please note this information is based on an automated report on a given date /time from your PCS portfolio)

It is important to be aware that this year, RCSI may be required to provide the Medical Council with the registration numbers and names of all registered Medical practitioners (RMPs) who have not met the minimum requirements in the year ending 30th April  2021.

As it would appear from our report that you have met the minimum requirements, your name / IMC number will not be on this list going to the Medical Council in June 2021.

We would advise you that we have not reviewed the activities which you have uploaded to your ePortfolio and have not verified your account.  If your portfolio was subject to a verification audit you will be required to provide evidence for the minimum requirements in terms of CPD credits accrued (total of 25 credits). Doctors for this verification audit will be selected before the end of June 2021.

Please note that you must also re-enroll in PCS for the current year 2021-2022 and pay the appropriate fee before you complete the Annual retention of registration process with the Medical Council.

If you have:

  • uploaded (or have available) all the appropriate evidence to support your CPD credits for the completed PCS year (which ended 30 April 2021),

then it would be appropriate, when you complete the Annual Retention Form (ARF) with the Medical Council, to tick YES to statement 2 “I have achieved the annual minimum CPD requirements for the Scheme Year 2020/2021     [YES/NO]

If you require further advice on the operation of the Professional Competence Scheme or support in meeting the requirements, please contact us at (pcs@rcsi.ie) or consult our website. If you have any queries about the annual retention process or other matters relating to your registration, you should contact the Medical Council directly.

If you are no longer on the Irish Medical Council’s Register, or have entered the Training Division of the Medical Council Register, please notify this office by email pcs@rcsi.ie as this will allow us update our records and ensure that you do not receive unnecessary communication in relation to the PCS.

Yours sincerely
