PCS Year End: 30th April 2021 – You can still Upload Credits

Please note you can still upload valid credits for the PCS term 1st May 2020 – 30th April 2021.

Please note that the requirements for the PCS year 1st May 2020 – 30th April 2021 is that you are required to reach a total of 25 CPD credits.  These 25 CPD credits can be recorded in any of the Categories (External/Internal/Personal Learning / Research or Teaching).

You should now login to your PCS profile and review your credits.

 If you have not:

  • Identified and recorded additional credits that bring your total credits to the minimum level required, 25 CPD credits
  • uploaded or have available all the appropriate evidence to support your CPD credits for the completed PCS year (which ended 30 April 2021),

then it would be appropriate, when you complete the Annual Retention Form (ARF) with the Medical Council, to tick NO to statement 2 “I have achieved the annual minimum CPD requirements for the Scheme Year 2020 / 21     [YES/NO] “

We wish to highlight that the PCS portal has not been updated / changed to reflect the above PCS requirements and therefore when you record the minimum requirement (25 cpd credits) for this PCS year, your portfolio will indicate that you are ‘not on target’. However, please note that by recording 25 CPD credits you are ON TARGET with  requirements for this PCS year.

Please note that the following wording has been added to the Statement of Participation for the 2020 - 2021 PCS year as requested by the Medical Council.

“Extenuating circumstances arising from COVID-19 may have prevented doctors accessing and recording of CPD activity for 2020 – 2021’
