We wanted to let you know that the MRCS Part B (OSCE) Exam that will take place in Dublin on the 11th and 12th of October is closing for applications tonight at midnight. Interested candidates should register here before that time.

All the candidates sitting this exam with RCSI will receive a 25% discount on PasTest resources to prepare for the exam and up to a 20% discount on Elsevier textbooks.

An MRCS Part B (OSCE) Preparation course will take place in Dublin on the 7th and the 8th of September 2017. This course will be particularly relevant for candidates sitting the examination in October and it will be the first one ever to take place in RCSI's new academic and education building.

If you would like to attend it, you can register now online. There are only a limited number of places available and each diet will stop accepting applications as soon as all the places are taken.

Led by Professor Peter Gillen, the course covers the core content of the exam and is designed to assist the candidates in their exam preparation and to improve their examination technique. It has mock OSCEs, interactive workshops and group discussions in the areas of:

• Applied Surgery
• Critical Care
• Clinical / Procedural Skills
• Anatomy
• Surgical Pathology
• Communications

Candidates receive personalised feedback after the mock OSCEs and are given tailored recommendations about how to organise their study during the weeks prior to the examination. The course has proven to be extremely successful; past candidates who attended it had a 78% exam pass rate.
