Please note you can still upload valid credits for the PCS term 1st May 2021 – 30th April 2022.
Please note that the requirements for the PCS year 1st May 2021 – 30th April 2022 is that you are required to reach a total of 25 CPD credits and complete one Clinical/Practice Audit. The 25 CPD credits can be recorded in any of the Categories (External/Internal/Personal Learning / Research or Teaching).
You should now login to your PCS profile and review your credits.
If you have not:
- Identified and recorded additional credits that bring your total credits to the minimum level required, 25 CPD credits and
- Completed one Clinical/Practice Audit
then it would be appropriate, when you complete the Annual Retention Form (ARF) with the Medical Council, to tick NO to statement 2 “I have achieved the annual minimum CPD requirements for the Scheme Year 2021 / 22 [YES/NO] “
We wish to highlight that the PCS portal has not been updated / changed to reflect the above interim PCS requirements and therefore when you record the minimum requirement (25 cpd credits) and record one Clinical/Practice Audit for this PCS year, your portfolio will indicate that you are ‘not on target’. However, please note that by recording 25 CPD credits and one Clinical/Practice Audit you are ON TARGET with requirements for this PCS year.
Please note that the following wording has been added to the Statement of Participation for the 2021 - 2022 PCS year as requested by the Medical Council.
“Extenuating circumstances arising from COVID-19 may have prevented doctors accessing and recording of CPD activity for 2021 – 2022’
