RCSI have developed and offer a range of supports and resources which you may be interested in pursuing, these include:

 

RCSI, NCHD CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

RCSI has developed a CPD programme with over 114 courses covering a broad range of areas which is free-of-charge to NCHDs working in the HSE. Our 2022-23 programme will be expanded to over 125 courses and will be available on our website in late July through the following link. Next year we plan to have over 35 courses specific to Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine.

FLEXIBLE MSC IN ADVANCED CLINICAL PRACTICE - AUGUST 2022

The MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice is open to all NCHD’s in Ireland within non-surgical specialities such as emergency medicine, radiology, anaesthesiology, general practice, pathology, public health, occupational health, and all general medical specialities.

The programme has been developed to supplement the clinical experience with structured clinical teaching and training. Programme modules are designed to equip you with a versatile skill set that will help to better meet the demands which are an essential part of the professional life of the modern practicing clinician.

Funding Available for this and other RCSI Academic Programmes

 

NCHDs working in the HSE full-time are able to combine Continuous Professional Development Support Scheme (CPD-SS) funding and Training Supports Scheme (TSS) funding to cover up to €2250 each year (€5500) of the cost of undertaking one of our postgraduate programmes

EMNow TRAINING PORTAL

EMNow is a free access app – built by the RCSI specifically for emergency medicine NCHD’s – that supports training and serves as an information point for all elements of Emergency In Ireland.

 

BI-WEEKLY WEBINAR SERIES

As part of our suite of resources, RCSI host a bi-weekly free 60-minute webinar series that aims to update medical teams on the latest developments and what it means for them. These webinars are free to attend, click here for further information on upcoming/previous webinars.
