We are delighted to invite you to attend the Launch of the HSE Policy & Procedure for Safe Surgery 2022.

The National Clinical Programmes for Anaesthesia, Surgery, and Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, have reviewed and updated the HSE Policy & Procedure for Safe Surgery 2013. This Policy endorses the principles of the WHO Surgical Safety Check & the HSE Patient Safety strategy. It outlines the minimum safety steps to be included in the Safe Surgery Checklist based on best practice and evidence. 

The National Clinical Programmes welcome Dr Orla Healy (National Clinical Director, Quality and Patient Safety) at the launch. This event will be in person from 5-6pm in the Albert Theatre in RCSI Dublin, 123 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2.
