Guidance for the Care of the Adult Patient with a Tracheostomy
by NCPS team

The Guidance for the Care of the Adult Patient with a Tracheostomy was officially launched at the Clinical Design and Innovation Programmes Day on 29th November. This document aims to highlight the post-operative care of patients with a tracheostomy; this care should be consistent between hospitals. The multidisciplinary guidance is complimented by a series of appendices that are available for download. Staff are encouraged to utilise these documents and ensure they are present for all patients with a tracheostomy or laryngectomy.
