RCSI’s Master of Surgery (MCh) by Module is currently enrolling. Closing Date: 31st May 2021
This two-year, part-time programme incorporates both taught components and a research dissertation. The programme’s multidisciplinary structure will enable participants to build an understanding of the complex challenges and opportunities facing surgical professionals in the greater context of healthcare.
The Programme aims to give surgeons in training the opportunity to explore areas of professional development that are not specifically addressed in any current higher specialist training programmes. We intend to continue a blended approach for this programme this academic year as both face-to-face and online delivery has been greatly appreciated by many of our current scholars.
Modules Include:
- Research Methods: Protocol development, design and analysis
- Medical Device Design and Development
- Healthcare Ethics, Law and Clinical Research
- Surgery in Developing Countries
- Leading and Managing Your Organisation/Service
Students will also complete a research dissertation in their chosen specialty. This will be original research and comprehensive supervision will be available.
More information on the MCh by Module is available on the RCSI website here
