Re: Fully flexible and part-time MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice programme. Open to NCHDs from all non-surgical specialties – September 2023 start
The MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice is open to all non-consultant health doctors in Ireland within non-surgical specialities such as radiology, anaesthesiology, general practice, emergency medicine, pathology, public health, occupational health, and all general medical specialities.
The programme has been developed to supplement the clinical experience with structured clinical teaching and training. Programme modules are designed to equip you with a versatile skill set that will help to better meet the demands which are an essential part of the professional life of the modern practicing clinician.
NCHDs working in the HSE full-time may be able to combine Continuous Professional Development Support Scheme (CPD-SS) funding and Training Supports Scheme (TSS) funding to cover up to €5,500 of the cost of this programme over two-years.

To be considered eligible for the programme, you must:
- Hold the degree of MB/BAO/BCh or equivalent
- Possess good undergraduate and postgraduate records and references
- Ideally have some practical experience and knowledge of clinical research as there is a strong research component within the programme
English language proficiency
Candidates must have one of the following:
- Third level education through English
- At least one year of full time clinical practice in an Irish or UK hospital ( Letter from employer or consultant)
- IELTS >6.5 (or equivalent)
